Taylor King decides to leave Duke and transfer

Freshman Taylor King has decided to leave Duke and possibly transfer to Gonzaga or Villanova.  King will have to sit out a year after transferring and then be eligible the year after that.

King was a good player for Duke, He was a sharp shooter from beyond the arc, but I think he wanted to get more playing time and that didn’t happen with all the depth the Blue Devils had this past season.

We wish Taylor the best in the future.

***Taylor King has decided to attend Villanova.  He will have to sit out next season, and then will be available to play for the Wildcats the next year.***

I think it is right move for taylor king because of playing time hasn’t been factor for him at Duke. I hope Gonzaga could get him on their roster and it could make him fit their offensive system. Villanova isn’t a place for him to fit in because of different style. I will miss him playing for Duke but I will keep my eye on Gonzaga if they got him.

Duke is the best in the whole world, who would want to transfer out? its his decision and I wish him the best but it sucks that he’s leaving the greatest university in the world. GO DUKE!!!!!!!

I recently went to a duke game and I notice taylor wasn’t there. I done some research and found out that taylor left duke to play elsewhere for more playing time. He will be missed, but I wish him well in the future. Good luck Taylor.

I just realized that king wasn’t listed for any of the stats when I was looking through Duke’s roster… Since he has to sit out a year, wouldn’t it make more sense to stay at Duke and get more pt the year after? His stats weren’t that good anyway… I’m not sure why he entered the NBA draft… he averaged like 5 or 6 points a game? come on… I don’t think he was that big a loss… just so long as kyle singler is back, I think Duke’ll be fine this upcoming year.
    GO DUKE!!!

I was kind of happy that King left. Yes, he could shoot, but sometimes that’s our Achilles heel. I saw him take too many shots during bad times. He was also too slow and couldn’t play the uptempo offense and pressure defense we require. Good Riddance King.
    Go Duke!!

Duke wins the national championship. You are the best of Duke fans. You don’t know the English language. What year did you graduate from Duke or second grade?
