Strong second half pushes Duke past N.C. State

Good evening everyone. First off I was unable to watch the game tonight just like a lot of fans. I was thinking that the game was going to be broadcast by one of the ESPN channels but I was wrong. At some point after the schedule was released, they switched the game to be shown on Raycom only. I don’t pay for the extra games on DirecTV since Duke is usually already on tv so I was unable to watch tonight.

From the look of things Duke struggled in the first of and was actually losing 26-22 at half time. However in the second half, the Blue Devils came on strong and scored 51 points as they went on for a 73-56 victory. A win is a win no matter how bad the first half was, I’ll take it just like the team will take it.

Gerald Henderson led all Blue Devil’s in scoring with 21 points. Gerald added seven rebounds, five steals, and four assists as well. Great all around game for him as he has really came on in the last seven games.

Kyle Singler chipped in 17 points of his own on 6 of 10 shooting. Nolan Smith had a tough shooting night as he only made four of ten shots but he was able to score 13 points.

Duke will have another tough game this Saturday as they take on the Maryland Terrapins who will travel down to Cameron for a game at 12:00 ET. The game is scheduled to be shown on ESPN.

Good site, update your results.. maybe you can get the Duke Students to ‘go retro’ against Carolina this year.
have them throw out, contact lens cases, nose guards, teeth protectors.. all the things Tyler complains about
    Keep up the good work

At least I wasn’t the only one frantically searching for a phantom station showing the game! And they finally played a good 2nd half? Wow. How about the last 10 mins? It blows my mind how they can build such a great lead only to sit back and watch it almost disappear!

Ok! Yes I am a diehard Duke basketball fan but, I need to vent just a little. I know you watched the Big Game tonight. Please Coach K just get us another player like Elton,Carlos. I know if we just had one or two players that could play on the inside it would take all of the pressure off our guys to make every shot from around the perimeter. The 1st half we battle and we kick the Tarheels Ass. Then 2nd half we just could not sustain that intensity. We need a BigMan to feed the ball to. Coach K PLEASE RECRUIT us a BigMan who can play. (Not like Big Z) Thanks Reggie Robbs Lawrenceville, GA
