Sorry for late update on the Duke – Florida State game

Sorry everyone, I was not able to watch or even record the game on Saturday afternoon as I was out of town and just got back this evening. By the look of things it was a very cold shooting and slow first half as Duke only had a 19-14 lead. Things heated up in the second half as the Blue Devils outscored the Seminoles 47-44 and went on for a 66-58 victory.

I had blogged earlier in the week how tough it is for Duke to play at Flordia State and this proved that once again. I’m glad that the team came away with a victory as it was a nice road win in ACC play.

Up next for the Blue Devils will be a game at Georgia Tech on Wednesday evening. Tip-off is set for 7:00 ET and the game will be shown on ESPN. Georgia Tech is 0-2 in the conference and 9-6 overall. I expect this to be a 10 point victory for the Blue Devils.

  1. Van Says:

Is Greg Paulus injured to the point he barely plays or

is he in the “doghouse” or is there something else

    going on?

How can you go from being a three year starter and

excellent three point shooter to a bench warme?

Nolan Smith is ok, but he’s no Hurley or Amaker.

What is the real deal with Paulus?

  2. Cliff Says:

Van, Coack K feels that the team is better with Nolan Smith running the point rather then Greg Paulus. Smith pretty much out played Paulus in pre-season.

Paulus could have a forearm injury as he has been wearing a sleave but I haven’t read much about a serious injury. It’s really hard to tell but Paulus has been great about the move to the bench as far as I’ve been told.

He is a great option to come in as a sixth man similar to what Jon Scheyer did last year.
