It was the Kyle Singler show Thursday night in Cameron Indoor Stadium as the talented junior nailed eight three points to lead the Blue devils past Georgia Tech 86-67. Singler went on a roll after he had one of his wrists examined which was a thought of concern at the time. However, Singler came right back into the game and was knocking down shots from all over the court. Kyle scored a career high of 30 points in the contest.
“I just got into a rhythm,” Singler said. “I took open shots … and started knocking them down.”
It was a pretty close first half especially in the first ten minutes as the refs called a very close game. There were over 20 fouls in the first half alone as every little touch was called. The calls by the refs really threw off Georgia Tech who were without their two big men for most of the first half as they got into foul trouble. You never want to see the refs calling a close game and forcing kids to the bench but that is what happened to the Yellow Jackets.
Jon Scheyer added 21 points for the Blue Devils to go along with Singler’s 30. Great performance by both of them.
Duke now sits atop the ACC standings with a 6-2 conference record. That’s the main goal right now is to win the ACC conference and the ACC tournament. If Duke can do that, things will take care of themselves as far as seeding in the NCAA tournament.

After last nights close but beautiful 66 to 63 win over Boston College, here is positive thought about our Duke Team:
We give you “The Three S-Keteers” of Duke, Jon Scheyer, Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler…. truly the Best Shooting Line in the NCAA and Roy Williams next nightmare of things to come!
