Seth Curry set to transfer to Duke

The Duke Blue Devils will soon be announcing that freshman sharpshooter Seth Curry will be transferring to the University and will be a member of the Blue Devil basketball team. Curry who averaged 20.3 in his Freshman season at Liberty will have to sit out the next season and will have three seasons left to play starting in 2010-2011.

Let’s hope he can shoot the ball just as good his big brother and dad once he puts the Blue Devil uniform on! We sure could use someone that can put the ball in the hole for long range.

Next up, hopefully we hear some good news about the recruitment of John Wall who was also on the campus this weekend to meet with Coack K. I’d love to add Wall as he would be at true point guard for the team. Give me Curry, Wall and a big man please!

Oh gosh am I glad to hear about Seth Curry – I was hoping he would play next year – I thought Liberty wa a junior college – oh well he’ll be in time to take over when Henderson & Sheyer grad. – I’m relieved to see that Coach K is still working hard for us – to listen to all the “know it all” prognosticators, Duke basketball and Coach K are washed up!! Not that I believed a word of it but it is irritating to always be kicked when you’re down!! But, we are always in the spotlight- everyone worries about Duke and what they’re doing!! Go figure……

  2. Ol' McCreedy Says:

Wait . . . you thought Liberty was a junior college? Have you watched Sportscenter or been on the internet in the last nine months? That’s humiliating. Why don’t you look at their website?

  3. Ol' McCreedy Says:

Junior colleges don’t play in the ESPN Bracketbusters, they don’t beat UVA at UVA, and they don’t play Clemson to a five-point loss–at Clemson. Duke, recall, got throttled by 27 against Clemson. Junior college. Your comment will be greeted with a furrowed brow and a chuckle by anyone who keeps up with college basketball.

  4. Cliff Says:

Yeah, Liberty is a D1 school, and Curry will have to sit out the next year per transfer rules.

  5. Will Says:

While Curry is nice, Duke’s always had a knack for finging decent SGs. The real thing to celebrate is having some size and athleticism inside with the signing of Mason Plumlee. I saw that kis in the Mickey Ds Dunk contest and my jaw dropped. Now all that’s left to pray about is havn John Wall sign. With Calipari leaving Memphis, there is a good chance Duke can land ‘em.
