Paulus chooses Syracuse

Greg Paulus is going back to his hometown and will enroll in graduate school at Syracuse University. Paulus announced his decision this morning through a teleconference. He said he could not pass up the opportunity to play one year of football for Syracuse and also take classes for broadcast journalism.

Greg was picking between Nebraska and Syracuse and in the end the hometown won. We wish Greg the best as he continues his education and playing career at Syracuse. You were a great leader while at Duke and will always be remembered as a Blue Devil!

I hope Paulus gets some playing time up at Syracuse and he has some success. It’s a great story and even better yet he is continuing his education which is great thing!

I was very disappointed for Greg as he was forced out at the end of his basketball stint at Duke. He played extremely hard for all four years and should have remained a starter even if his pt had to be reduced. I understand about talent, but basketball is also about respect of one’s commitment, which I believe was stripped of Greg. I hope he tears it up for the Syracuse football team and doesn’t dwell on whether he made the wrong choice of Duke basketball over his foot ball possibilities. Go Duke?
