Kyrie Irving set to announce Duke?

Good morning Duke fans! It looks like Kyrie Irving the talented combo guard from Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick High School will announce his college decision Thursday evening on ESPN U. Irving is expected to pick between Duke, Texas A&M and Kentucky.

All signs are pointing to Irving signing with the Blue Devils for the class of 2010. Irvins is currently rated as the number nine player in the nation by rivals.com

Irving would be a huge get for the Blue Devils as he can play the point position which is a much needed position for the Blue Devils. If we can somehow land Irving and Harrison Barnes watch out in a few years!

Stay tuned as we will update this post after he announces his decision at 5:30 EST.

*** UPDATE ***

I have known Kyrie Irving all his young life and his Dad (Drederick) is a dear friend of the family. Stayed clear of negativity and stay in an atmosphere where he can prosper and that is exactly what happen. I commend Drederick, the father for his handling of his children’s future. Drederick Irving was also a talented player at Boston University so I do wish Kyrie all the best.

    Peace & Blessings Kyrie.

Hopefully he can presuade his good friend Harrison Barnes here as well. If so might as well go ahead and sharpen the scissors to cut down the nets. Duke Basketball is Back. Watch Out
