Josh McRoberts leaving Duke to head to the NBA

We all figured that this was going to happen, it was just how long it would take Josh to tell the public.  McRoberts has finished up his two year career at Duke University, and most fans will remember him for not stepping up and becoming a a team leader and carrying a team on his back like most thought he was capable of.

McRoberst had this to say:

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunities that I have had here at Duke,” McRoberts said. “This was a difficult decision, but I feel it is the best one for me and my family at this point in time. I will miss Duke, the coaching staff and my teammates, but it has always been goal of mine to play in the NBA.”

Coach K supports Josh’s decision to head to the NBA.  Some rumors around the Internet say that Josh had a hard time with some other teammates and wasn’t the best teammate himself.  Also, most Duke fans are hoping with Josh’s departure it will make Patrick Patterson committ to the Blue Devils.

Good luck in the NBA Josh, I appreciate your time that you gave to the Duke Program and the Duke Fans.
