Hey Duke fans, so I finally had a little bit of time on my hands this afternoon and noticed that I could stream “A Cut Above 100 Seasons of Duke Basketball” on Netflix to my Xbox 360 so I figured what better time than now to watch it. I don’t know why it took me so long to watch it, but after watching it I don’t feel like I missed a whole lot.
The highlights for me of course were seeing the early 90’s teams play and what Coack K did with the team early in on his career. It really shows how much dedication Coack K puts into the team and the type of players he recruited. That was probably the best part of the show for me.
Another interesting part I like seeing was about the University early on. I’m not from the South or ACC country so I was un-aware how Duke University became a university and the information on the early coaches was awesome to find out.
The bad part of the movie I would have to say was in the middle. I just about fell asleep to be honest. I don’t know, I just didn’t find things that interesting but that could be because I wasn’t alive back then to follow things as close as I do now.
In the end however, I would recommend it to any Duke fan. It’s great to learn about things early on, and for most young Duke fans, they don’t know the things that Coack K had to go through early in his career at Duke. So if you have NetFlix and a XBOX 360 go ahead and stream it. Or you can always pick up a copy from Amazon if you wish as well.
If you have seen the video, what were your thoughts?
