Dukes beats Clemson for big ACC win

Jon Scheyer scored 18 points and DeMarcus Nelson added 16 to help Duke win its 21st straight over Clemson 71-66 on Thursday night. It was also the Blue Devils third straight win after a four-game losing streak that had some wondering how far the team would fall.

Nelson has said the four-game losing steak really got the players thinking and become better focused for the games.  As you could in last nights game, Duke was up 20, and then all of a sudden they scored give points in the first 10 minutes of the second half but were able to hold to win.  When they get up by 15-20 points, they have got to put the nail in the coffin like they have in years past.

Hopefully this game will carry over for the next game against St. Johns.  St. Johns has gave Duke troubles in the past but hopefully this year, Duke can cruise to a 10-12 point victory.
