The Duke basketball team finished up their short stay in New York City with a 71-56 victory over the Michigan Wolverines on Friday night. With the the win, the Blue Devils won the 2k Classic and improved to 5-0 on the season.
Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler led the way for the Blue Devils as they picked apart the 1-3-1 defense that Michigan threw at them. Smith had a season high 16 points while Singler had 15 points. Singler also had eight rebounds and four assists while being named the tournaments MVP.
Gerald Henderson went 4 of 10 from the field as he finished with 12 points. I still feel that Henderson could be a little bit more aggressive and attack the basket even more however. He is really settling for the jump shot when he can take it hard to the basket and atleast get to the free throw line.
The Blue Devils have a short rest as they will be back on the court Sunday afternoon against Montana. Game time is set for 1:00 EST.
