One again Duke was behind at halftime, but came out strong in the second half and defeated the Boston College Eagles 90-80. I would like if the Blue Devils weren’t behind at halftime, but you do have to give them credit in coming back and winning in the second half.
Kyle Singler and DeMarcus Nelson were the sparkplugs for the Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon.  Singler had a wonderful game finishing with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Anytime the Blue Devils needed a big shot, it was Mr. Singler hitting it. Nelson wasn’t too far behind in the stats as he finished with 23 points and eight rebounds. Great 1-2 punch today by Singler and Nelson to carry the Blue Devils.
One thing I didn’t like was how they let Tyrese Rice score 28 points. Greg Paulus needed to do a better job of stopping Rice’s penetration and force someone else to shoot the ball. Exactly what he is going to have to do when they play North Carolina and Ty Lawson is playing.
Overall it is a good win against a scrappy Boston College team. The Blue Devils will next play on Wednesday night against Maryland. The game will tip-off at 7:00 P.M. eastern from Cameron Indoor Stadium, and it can be seen on ESPN.
