Coack K and Jon Scheyer went back home for a little homecoming on Wednesday night as Duke played Iowa State in Chicago at the United Center. Scheyer was the main man against the Cyclones as he lit up the United Center for 31 points as he led the Blue Devils to a 86-65 win. Duke is now 7-0 all time at the United Center.
Duke’s offense was not just about Scheyer as Nolan Smith put down 20 of his own points and Kyle Singler chipped in with 15. Yep once again the Blue Devils were led by Scheyer, Smith and Singler. That’s going to be the case this season so lets hope everyone stays healthy.
I can’t forget about Lance Thomas who also had a pretty good game. Lance knocked down two quick shots in the first couple minutes of the game and finished with nine points on 4-5 shooting. If Lance can stay out of foul trouble he can really help out on both ends of the court. I just don’t want him shooting too much when you have Scheyer, Smith and Singler on the court.
Up next for the 13-1 Blue Devils will be a clash against Georgia Tech on Saturday. A good road game that should test the Blue Devils down in Atlanta.
