It was a good evening for the Duke Blue Devils on Friday night as they opened up with a 96-62 win over UNCG. I was unable to watch the game on tv due to the blackout rules. (When did DirecTV start blacking out college basketball games?!) I tried catching some of it online but the feed wasn’t that good.
It looks like it was the Kyle Single and Jon Scheyer show as they led the Blue Devils with 20 and 18 points each. The Blue Devils shot 59.7 percent and used two huge first-half runs to extend their NCAA record home nonconference winning streak to 69.
Brian Zoubek scored 14 off the bench. Lance Thomas added 12 and Miles Plumlee scored 10.
I plan on having a write up this evening after the Duke vs Coastal Carolina game as that one will be on ESPNU. Follow the blog on twitter @justdukecom for live in game blogging!
