Clemson is rolling downhill right now and will try to stop thier skid tonight as they Duke at home in a national televised game on ESPN at 9 p.m. eastern. Duke is coming into the game off a 71-62 win over Georgia Tech at home.
The last time Clemson and Duke played, it took a last second shot from David McClure to give the Blue Devils the win. We all remember that the officials added more time onto the clock that allowed the Devils and McClure to score the last second basket. I’m pretty sure Clemson will come out tonight pretty fire up for this Blue Devil team.
Duke, which has beaten Clemson 20 straight times dating back to January of 1997, seems to bring out the best in senior point guard Vernon Hamilton. Hamilton scored a career-high 31 points against the Blue Devils last season and matched his season high with 21 points in the teams’ meeting four Thursdays ago.
Our prediction is Duke 69 Clemson 64 in a tough ACC battle at LittleJohn.
