Right from the get go in last nights game you could tell that Maryland was playing their game and Duke was not. This years Duke team has to slow the game down and hope to hold the opponent to around 50-60 points. Well that didn’t happen last night as the Terrapins defeated the Blue Devils 85-77.
Greg Paulus had a pretty good overall game scoring 20 points and hitting some big threes to keep Duke in the game during the second-half. In the first-half it was the DeMarcus Nelson show as he scored a quick 13 points to lead the Blue Devils.
For Maryland, Mike Jones scored a game-best 25 points while Ibekwe and Strawberry had 17 apiece. You could see hoe energetic Maryland was especially Greivis Vasquez after he would make a bucket. He was having some fun with the Cameron Crazies taunting etc. Just remember Vasquez, you are only a freshman so have fun next time you’re in Cameron!
Up next for the Blue Devils is North Carolina on Sunday. HUGE GAME for the Devils as it would mean a lot to knock off the Tar Heels this year. If you don’t have ACC Tournament or NCAA Tickets well then you need to click here to order from our partners!
