The Duke Blue Devils got back to the winning ways on Saturday afternoon as they defeated the St. Johns Red Storm 86-56 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke had previously lost their last two games and needed to get a win at home and that is exactly what they did.
Kyle Singler was the leading scorer for the Blue Devils who had four other players score in double figures. Singler scored a game high 16 points, while Nolan Smith and Gerald Henderson both scored 13 points. Jon Scheyer finished the game with 12 points while Brian Zoubek scored 11 points. It was nice to see the balanced scoring attack come back for the Blue Devils even though DeMarcus Nelson and Greg Paulus didn’t score too many points.
Up next for the Blue Devils will be a Feb 27th game against Georgia Tech at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Hopefully the Blue Devils can start up another winning streak and carry some momentum into the last 4 games of the regular season and into the ACC Tournament.
