Duke falls to Pittsburgh 65-64 in overtime

It wasn’t the outcome us Duke fans were hoping for, but you have got to love playing a tough game like this before you open up ACC Conference play.  Traveling to their home away from home at Madison Square Garden, Duke and Pittsburgh battled back and forth the entire game and in the end it was Pittsburgh that game out on top against the Blue Devils.

Kyle Singler, Gerald Henderson, and DeMarcus Nelson all scored in the double figures for the Blue Devils.  Singers and Henderson both had 17 points each, and Nelson wasn’t too far behind with 14 points.

It would have been nice to see Greg Paulus and Taylor King put more points on the board…

You gotta have more people contributing on the scoreboard to beat a good team like Pitt.  Give Pitt credit, they battled and battled and in the end came out with the Win.  I love the fact that Duke was playing a team like Pitt early in the season like this though.  I wish they would schedule more games like this to get ready for conference play.

Duke is now off until Jan 6th when they will play Cornell.  We wish the coaching staff and the players a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
