Duke falls out of Coaches Poll

Duke’s recent slide in the past two weeks has now knocked them entirely out of the coaches poll for the first time in 11 years.  This marks the first time in the nine-year history of the ESPN/USA Today poll — a span of 185 polls — that Duke has not been ranked. The Blue Devils’ No. 16 ranking last week was the lowest they had been ranked over that time (they were 15th in the second and third polls of the 1999-00 season).

Meanwhile, Duke fell out of The Associated Press poll for the first time since the end of the 1995-96 season. The Blue Devils had been in the media poll for 200 straight weeks — the second longest streak behind UCLA.

Duke will try to rebound against Boston College on Wednesday night.  We all won’t be able to watch the game since it is Valentines Day, and I should probably spend that evening with my wife.  Maybe she will let me check in on the game from time to time lol.
