Things sure didn’t get better for the Duke Blue Devils on Sunday as they tried to get back in the win colume after losing to North Carolina on Wednesdsay night. However, the Boston College Eagles had other thoughts and came out and beat the Blue Devils 80-74. Duke now finds themselves with a 7-4 record in the ACC conference and 20-5 overall.
Kyle Singler led the Blue Devils with 25 points and Gerald Henderson chipped in with 20 but the two combined to also miss 22 shots. Jon Scheyer had a terrible shooting night as he only made three out of twelve shots. The Blue Devils shot just 42% from the floor while the Eagles made 59% of their shots. You can look at the percentages from behind the three point line as see how bad that hurt Duke. Duke shot just 19% on three of sixteen whle the Eagles made eight out of eighteen three’s.
So now Duke will be out of the top 10 and will have four days before they battle St. Johns on Thursday night. Expect Coack K to have the players ready to go and the Blue Devils to get back in the win column after three out of four losses.

Is it me or the Blue Devils just starting to suffer another late year meltdown. Seems we peek in January then fall apart in February and March and this would make the 3rd such year in a row. Maybe we need to rotate guys out more, give guys like Miles Plumlee and Elliot Williams more playing time and more rest to everybody else. Also play Zoubek some more he usually has very productive touches and great passing skills. The BC game also confounds me a little, we go to playing the trap and BC cant hardly get the ball up the floor and we kind of just give up on it. I think we also have to get back to being more of a transition team were not making enough points out of the turnovers and rebounds we get, this is the best rebounding Duke team since the Battier and Brand teams I believe, and we need to make more runouts. Hopefully we get back to playing tougher defense and start passing the ball more and less isolation plays for people cause this really should be a 4game losing streak that were talking about. Play a complete game guys…
