Coack K to continue on with USA Basketball

Sources close to USA Basketball and Duke Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski told reporters that Coack K will stay on with USA Basketball through the 2010 world championship in Turkey and at the 2012 London Olympics. The announcement is expected to be announced later this month on the eve of the start of Team USA’s minicamp.

I don’t really like this move for the sake of Duke Basketball. Coack K needs to have more time where he can recruit college players rather than worry about Team USA. I was alright with him coack the olympics last time, but now it is another three year committment and I think is time would be used more better at the University of Duke full time.

  1. College Basketball Odds Says:

While this may not be the best situation for Duke fans or the school, however, this could be a goal for Coach K and we must respect his wishes. He has given an awful lot for the program so to see him do something so great outside the program for American basketball is good.
