Back from Las Vegas – Duke moves onto the Sweet 16!

Well the good news is that Duke is moving onto the Sweet 16 after beating Texas 74-69 on Saturday night. The bad news is that I’m just now getting to blogging about the game as I just got home from Las Vegas where I was watching the opening round games at the Paris Ballroom.

It was a very nice win for the Blue Devils who played just good enough too dispose of the Longhorns. Gerald Henderson led the team with 24 points while Kyle Singler added 17 and Jon Scheyer chipped in with 13 points. Nice balanced scoring attack and when you combine that with a decent defense that is why the Blue Devils came out on top by five points.

I don’t have a lot else to blog about regarding the Texas game as I’m sure everything has already read game recaps and watched the game themselves. I do have to say that the Paris Ballroom setup for March Madness is top notch. Nothing like being able to bring in all your food and drinks and sit back with four huge screens all day long.

Now Duke moves onto the Sweet 16 where they will take on Villanova. This game will be another tough game and the guard play by Duke will either make or break them in my opinion. We will have a better look at the game in the next couple of days so come on back!

Anyone see the joke Duke dude (may have been Henderson) get on the guy for not jumping fast enough to get in the game with 45 seconds left?

    What a chump teammate.

If he would have played like the game meant something, he would not have been in such a bad mood. Oh, be a man you big guy!
Maybe, Geraldo will take up a job in ….. being a man someday. Chumpsauce. I am sickened by his behavior. I will give him a year or two to grow up and start acting like a man.

    Peace.

    Go Blue Devils F-Ball 2009-10!!!!
